PRESS RELEASE JULY 2012 - Release of New CD Agt Keer Opstaan

Release of New CD - Agt Keer Opstaan".

AGT KEER OPSTAAN

"If you fall eight times, you have to pick yourself up eight times. Be stromg, tell your story and continue along your path."

That's the chorus in the title track on Jasmyn's new CD Agt Keer Opstaan. It helps one remember the mantra that it isn't how many times you fall, but how many times you pick yourself up
Agt Keer Opstaan is a CD with a message of hope. With tracks such as “Dance of Life”, “Kettings Breek” (Break the Chains) and the well known “Footprints in the Sand”, it renews your faith in going on.
Jasmyn is known for her beautiful clear voice and classic approach, which is demonstrated in her debut CD Jy wens jy kon se. In Agt Keer Opstaan, her angelic voice carries Celtic undertones, and clearly underlines her position as the country's most promising female rising star. But the golden thread running through it is the unmistakable feeling of lightness you experience when you hear the album.
Jasmyn records in the hands of the most experienced names in the local industry, such as Mauritz Lotz and Vinnie Henrico, but she has also made her name internationally. In 2010, as a contestant in Eurovision's (OGAE Rest of the World) competition “Face vs Voice” in Dusseldorf, she opened the Song Festival in which numerous contestants competed.
Back in South Africa, she shared the stage with performers such as Rina Hugo, Natasha Joubert and Joe Niemand in the Hallelujah Gospel Gala at Carnival City. In October 2011 Jasmyn was part of the production 'VAMT – Vonk Afrikaanse Musiek Toekennings ' where she was described as “the surprise of the evening”.
In 2012 Jasmyn recorded Agt Keer Opstaan, and worked with producers such as Johan Kelber and Dirk van Niekerk. The CD will be in shops in September 2012. It's an easy-listening album, and can easily compare with names such as Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson
The CD will be officially launched on September 4th, with a production at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria. It promises to be a delightful evening of enjoyment, where Jasmyn will showcase her newest work, in the company of the TUT dancers, a lively orchestra, and a male choir, as well as the Majorettes of Waterkloof High School.
Guests will also be treated to some tracks from her debut album,Jy Wens Jy Kon Se
Jasmyn says “I want to share more of myself, and my heart and soul with my audience, as well as my experiences and the story behind each song. I am passionate and excited about the language of lyrics and melody. It is my firm belief that music is the universal language. My dream is that my music becomes a light for people, and touches their hearts and souls, inspring new hope, love and passion for life”.

Tickets for the Event are available through Computicket.

APPEARANCE AT EUROVISION 2011

EUROVISION Fan Clubs is 25 years old and is holding a celebration to mark the occasion. Each OGAE club was invited tochoose an artist to appear there, and OGAE Rest of the World have chosen Jasmyn.
The event is on being held on May 6th, 2011 in Dusseldorf, and starts at 2200. Jasmyn will open the proceedings as the chosen artist, at around 2210, and will sing two songs - details will follow later, but because it is being held in Germany, one of these will probably be the Afrikaans version of the German Eurovision songs entry. The other will be an uptempo number and it will probably be something from The United Kingdom.
The event is being held in the Euro Club - and between 2,000-4,000 guests are expected. It will be very exclusive, as only accredited and invited people will be admitted, and only a limited number of tickets will be made available to the general public and EUROVISION fans.
The complete program is not available yet, but all the other performers will be the artists representing their countries at EUROVISION 2011.
During the 2010 event in Oslo, Norway, easily 20 of the 39 artists performed, and the performance was televised and broadcast to several European countries. This will most likely be the case again this year in Dusseldorf.

PRESS RELEASE: Debut CD Release November

With a name that conjures the arrival of Spring, the voice of an angel and a heart of gold, this new blossom is causing a stir in the Afrikaans music industry. With her own unique style and taste in music, combining light classics, show tunes, and gentle and romantic genres, it's will be no surprise to hear the beautiful medley of sounds that will fill her debut CD album, due out in November this year.

Her new CD is in production at MMX studios, under the direction of the well-known and talented Johan Hystek. No amount of time, or expense has been spared in its production. Jasmyn is keen to offer the public her very best, and nothing less. We are so excited about this newcomer, who would like to show the music world that there is space aplenty for for quality easy-listening music in the industry. Naturally, the CD also contains some of her own compositions. Look out for it in the later part of November. It promises to be a balm to the soul for many.

At 20, Jasmyn feels ready to share her talent with everyone. Her captive audience as a child were the animals on the farm, and her beloved horse Dominique. She is a child of nature, with bare feet comfortably and firmly rooted on the ground. Her deep empathy with other people colours her actions in everyday life, and her easy, and sometimes deep, sparkling singing colours the lives of many others. She felt privileged to perform for a few thousand Day of the Covenant visitors at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria earlier this year, in concert with the well known Manuel Escorsio. Her performance can be seen on Youtube under the title "Afrikaner Gelofte Jasmyn", which has caused a few damp eyes around the country. This was her first large and visible Afrikaans Music project, and she wanted to inspire everyone to appreciate the wider pictures of the Day of The Covenant celebrations. She felt that the focus had been, for too long, on the resentment, pain and sufferings of the people, rather than the glory of The Lord who showed his face to the Afrikaaners that day
Another remembered performance was that with the Afrikaans music icon, Sonja Heroldt.

The thread that runs through all her music is the strong bond she has with Our Redeemer, and she is willing to share that joy with everyone.

With eyes shining about her future, a dedicated team of talented people, and a network of supportive friends and family, Jasmyn has the perfect recipe to make a great success of her singing career.

If you are interested in having her perform at your venue, or a special function or event, contact her agent Juanita van der Walt at juanitavdw@gmail.com or on her cellphone at 082 965 9061.

Vist Jasmyn's website at www.jasmyn.za.net, and share that link with everyone you know that appreciates beautiful music and a great talent.
